About Makayla Villarreal

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Makayla earned her Bachelor's degree in Finance, along with a Certification in Real Estate Analysis and Development, from Penn State University.

Following graduation, she relocated to Houston, Texas, where she began her career as a Financial Analyst at a Fortune 5 company. While the role sharpened her financial and analytical skill set, it quickly became clear that her true passion lay in real estate. After just 10 months in corporate finance, Makayla made a decisive pivot, taking a leap of faith to pursue a career aligned with her long-standing interests and strengths.

Now five years into her real estate career, Makayla has built both a thriving business and a fulfilling life in Charlotte. Since moving, she has gotten married, purchased her own home, and fully embraced the Charlotte and Lake Norman lifestyle. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time on the water at Lake Norman whenever possible.

Makayla's interest in real estate began early, shaped by countless home tours alongside her mother, experiences that refined her eye for quality, design, and functionality from a young age.

Since 2020, Makayla has represented over 100 clients and closed more than $45 million in sales. Known for her energy, attention to detail, and client-first approach, she is committed to guiding her clients with clarity and precision through every step of the process-whether they are purchasing their first home, a forever home, or an investment property.
